Final Task: Monster-By-The-Sea

This is my final task for AICE MEDIA STUDIES AS Level. I have worked very hard getting this project to the state it is now. I am very happy with the turnout. It took a while to get it right, but I could not be more happy with the result. Looking back on my other projects this year, I've learned a lot about filmmaking and production. I would like to thank my mom and my friend Tekla for all the help on the project. I couldn't have done it alone. There were a lot of bumps in the road, but we prevailed. There were multiple reshoots of scenes. My actors were very cooperative and could not have made the filming process easier. I ended up with a lot more film than I knew what to do with. The most challenging part of the entire process was getting everything to fit within the two minute time-frame. There were many scenes that didn't make the cuts. As much as I wish I could show everything, I don't think the film could have came out any better than it did. I ended up having to reshoot a lot more scenes than I originally thought. The editing process was very tedious. Having to resize and switch around scenes to get the perfect combination was a daunting process. Starting out with over five minutes of film, it was a daunting task to size it down. Nonetheless, we prevailed, and I am ecstatic with the finished product.
