Production Blog Finished Filming
I have now come to a conclusion in the filming process. In anticipation of future problems, I way over-filmed everything. I have multiple different dialogue exchanges between my mother and I. I filmed each scene in various lightings to give different effects. I was aiming in showing time progressively through a decrease in lighting throughout. Looking through the footage I have, this should be very possible. I feel very prepared to start the editing process. I have put the clips together and see that there are many ways in which it can work now. Even then, I got backups on almost everything, trying to pick apart flaws in the film. Nonetheless, I have a lot to do before this film is finished. I will need to cut the film down by a couple minutes at the least. There will be a lot of footage that goes to waste unfortunately. My goal is to start the editing as soon as possible. I've found that it's hard to grasp just how long the editing is until you mess around with it for a little. So, I've briefly put the clips together and it seems as though it is going to take some time. I plan to add in lots of sounds to the film. I need all kinds of monster noises, and screams. Judging by how much I have, I am going to need to dedicate lots of time to the process. I will try to take time over the next few nights to find audios. Implementing these is usually the most difficult part for me.
