Music Video Day 2 Filming Blog
On Wednesday, November 2nd, I held the second day of filming for the music video project. After planning out all of the spots that we would shoot, I told my friends to come over after school. Once they arrived, we got into costume and set out. We filmed ourselves making the presents in the kitchen of my house first. Because some of the scenes needed to be done at night, we had to get all of the scenes that didn't out of the way first. The change from daytime to nighttime also emphasizes how long the journey was. Because we supposedly walked and skipped around everywhere, it makes the timeline much more comedic. The challenge became getting everything we needed light for done before the sun set. We filmed us caroling or at least attempting to carol at people's houses. We filmed us skipping up and down the street and dancing in front of the mall. We filmed ourselves finding Santa inside and chasing him down in the mall. Filming in the mall was probably the best and funniest part of the whole project. We filmed ourselves all looking at the lit up reindeer once it got dark enough. Then, we headed to Lauderdale-By-The-Sea and got footage of ourselves looking up at the tree in awe. Unfortunately, there wasn't as many people there as we initially thought, but it we still got some good shots there. There is a restaurant there that is crazily decorated as well, so it added to the Christmas scenery. All in all, I believe that we got a lot of good footage and I am happy going into the editing process with the second day. We had a lot of filming to get done and at the end of the day, we caught up and had a lot of fun in the process.
